"Light is a form of energy and,
as such, it can never be still."
Trevor J. Fairbrother
Light is the connecting feature in all of my work; my one constant. I strive to capture beautiful, fleeting moments of light each time I paint, making my work a form of contemporary, impressionistic art. When the weather in the midwest cooperates, I prefer to work outside, immersing myself in the light and space of my subject matter. Light, and energy are quintessential to my work and have always been affected by both. I work intuitively, reacting to my surroundings and what I see in front of me. My work has a feminine quality to it, both in the subject matter and the effort and love that is poured into my work. Attention to detail, care and joy is present in my work.
